Hello Eggheads,
Friday again! Good luck with your Friday test. It’s great to hear that you are doing so well in your tests and that you have motivated yourselves to keep going. Keep working hard and trying your best to do as much as you can over the next few weeks. I know it’s getting tough for you but we are all in the same boat, finding life difficult right now but we will come through the other side. The biggest point I want you to remember is that it’s still me making you work so no ‘huffy puff’ faces, as they are called in my house, aimed at anyone at home when the books appear on the table 😁 I’ll send you a picture of my best ‘huffy puff’ face so you can laugh every time you nearly do one 😂
So, what is an egghead? Other than being the name of a popular TV quiz show the word egghead refers to a very smart or studious person, which you all are of course. Tonight, my family all met up on Zoom and we did a quiz. It was so much fun and for 1hr 30mins we laughed, chatted and quizzed away. It was such a fun way to meet up when we can’t do it in person and to top it off Brian and I won 😁 This gave me an idea because we always had a laugh together in school when I whipped out the quiz book so let’s do it again. I’m going to upload a few pages from my quiz book which you can try together with your family. Why not set up a family quiz night this weekend with your family and you could be the quiz master. You could even do it on Zoom, like we did and include your cousins and grandparents. Another option is to make up your own quiz and get together online with friends from our class. Be very careful if you are meeting up with anyone online. Always get mummy or daddy to check that you have set up your meeting safely and that they know you are online and who you have connected with. Never connect with anyone that you don’t know and if you are not 💯% sure that the person is who they say they are disconnect, ask someone at home for help and if it is your friend they won’t mind you checking!
