Friday 3rd April
Hi Space Rangers,
“Buzz Lightyear to Star Command. Come in star command...” I have watched Toy Story 2 & 3 so many times in the past couple of weeks that I sometimes forget that my name isn’t Jessie and I don’t have a horse called Bullseye 🐴 It’s a favourite in our house at the minute with Buzz being Rory’s favourite character by far!
I have to admit that one of my favourite times of the day is sitting down in the evening to watch TV with a nice cup of tea ☕️ and a biscuit 🍪 before bed. When you’ve run around after 2 energetic children all day you definitely need that time to unwind before bedtime. What do you do before bed? How do you chill out? I know a lot of you spend time playing computer games 🎮 or watching YouTube during the day but those activities aren’t exactly known for their wind down and relax qualities. We have a rule in our house of no iPads after dinner. Instead we play games or do jigsaws or just curl up on the sofa watching CBeebies. Now I know you are well past CBeebies but there are other channels and educational programmes that you could cosy up on the sofa and watch with someone. A few I have watched and would recommend are:
- Deadly 60 🦈
- Blue Planet 🐳
- Coyote Peterson: Brave the Wild 🦓
- Richard Hammond’s Big ✈️
- Africa 🦒
- Planet Earth 🌍
- Frozen Planet ❄️
I enjoy watching nature programmes as you probably guessed from the list above but there are many great programmes on history and science on TV too. Over the weekend why not watch something you haven’t watched before. Maybe a documentary on WW2 or search for some of the programmes I have mentioned above. If you aren’t sure what to watch ask someone at home if there is anything they like to watch. You could also go to the National Geographic Kids link in the pupil area of the website and see if you can find anything interesting there. Let’s face it there is only so much Collins Key, iCarly or Victorious that one person can watch 🤦🏻♀️
Now today is Friday which means yet another Friday test 😁 I hope you have been getting on well so far and please e-mail me with any test results you have. I have set a test on number on Mathletics but like last week if you don’t have internet access do your New Wave Mental Maths test book as normal.
I hope you have a lovely weekend and why not send me a few pictures of what you’ve been getting up to since we last saw each other.
To infinity and beyond 🚀 Sorry I’m not Buzz, I’m Jessie, I mean Mrs McFeely!
