Monday 4th May
Hello my Han Solos,
Happy Star Wars Day! Any Star Wars fans out there know why today is Star Wars day? If you want a challenge go and research it now before looking at the pictures below.
I hope you had a great weekend and did well on your Friday test. The weather has been lovely again so hopefully you did some exploring outside.
Today’s challenge is a fun one... Riddles! Now, some of you will know the answer to these very quickly as you have challenged me to similar ones before and I have to admit I am terrible at riddles! I’m a very literal thinker so find it difficult to think around what has been said. I’ll maybe get better at this skill when I grow up 🤣.
Enjoy:
- What gets wetter the more it dries?
- When you look for something, why is it always in the last place you look?
- A cowboy rode into town on Friday. He stayed in town for three days and rode out on Friday. How was that possible?
- One night, a king and a queen went into a castle. There was nobody in the castle, and no one came out of the castle. In the morning, three people came out of the castle. Who were they?
- What runs, but never walks, often murmurs – never talks, has a bed but never sleeps, has a mouth but never eats?
- What has a face and two hands, but no arms or legs?
- What has to be broken before you can use it?
- Lives in winter, dies in summer, and grows with its roots upward. What is it?
- It starts out tall, but the longer it stands, the shorter it grows. What is it?
- What belongs to you but is used more by others?
- What goes up and never comes down?
- How can a man go 8 days without sleep?
- I’m full of keys but I can’t open any door. What am I?
- What has a thumb and four fingers but is not alive?
- Which is heavier, a pound of bricks or a pound of feathers? The same – a pound is a pound!
- I’m light as a feather, yet the strongest man can’t hold me for more than 5 minutes. What am I?
- Can you name three consecutive days without using the words Wednesday, Friday, and Sunday?
- Timmy’s mother had three children. The first was named April, the next was named May. What was the name of the third child?
- What kind of coat can only be put on when wet?
- What occurs once in a minute, twice in a moment, and never in one thousand years?
Do you know any riddles? Why not challenge someone at home or send me some and I’ll try my best to solve them 🤔.
