Talk for Writing
During our 'Talk for Writing' sessions this term we have been talking about nocturnal animals. We have searched the playground for signs that they come to school to play at night, we have researched news reports discussing one in particular where a school for 900 pupils was halted because of a badger sett on the proposed site and used this to write a persuasive letter and created narrative stories based on various pictures of foxes in the wild. We were delighted to see some video footage from a wildlife camera at the Connell's farm showing a badger wandering about their land. We had lots of questions about why the badger was there, where it was going and why it ran off so fast in the last video. We are going to turn this into another narrative story next week.
