Hello my beautiful rays of sunshine 🌞

Did you enjoy the video of yourselves? It was so lovely to see your faces all together again even if it was digitally mashed 😆 I saw another lovely face today that you all know. Brian and I were out for a walk with our mini-mes and bumped into Mrs Van Wyk! It was so lovely to see her and have a short catch up (at a safe distance of course 👍).

Like any good teacher, Mrs Van Wyk got me thinking 🤔 she said that I had got a bit of colour on my face and I joked about how the colour stops at my neck. My ankles have a wee bit of colour too so I kind of resemble a zebra 🦓. That got me thinking about a question I have in my trusty ‘Why is Snot Green?’ book.

Can zebras get sunburn?

So over to you. E-mail me your findings like you have been. It’s an interesting question that I’m sure you’ve spent plenty of time thinking about before now 🤣

Thank you and well done to all of you who researched my last question, ‘why is the sky blue?’ I will attached some information in the pictures about that.

Now for a Dexter story 🐈 imagine this scenario... It was 7:30pm, I had just put my brats sorry I mean children 🤭 to bed, cup of tea (and possibly a biscuit or two 😉)in hand ☕️, TV on and I heard that dreaded, “Meow!” I don’t know about any of your cats but Dexter has a distinctive meow that means, “Mummy come and see the bad things I’ve just done!” I jumped up, spilled my tea, danced about for a bit until it stopped burning my leg and then ventured out into the hall to see, yes you guessed it a 🐭! All the mums out there will know the importance of silence for at least half an hour after bedtime until the little darlings upstairs finally stop singing and chatting to teddies so what could I do? I very quietly wagged my finger and shouted at Dexter, because you know, obviously he understood every word I said 🤦🏻‍♀️ and then grabbed the first weapon I could get my hands on. A fishing net 🤣 like come on what did I think I was going to do with a purple fishing net? After the poor mouse jumper over my fishing net a couple of times I realised that fishing maybe wasn’t the best sport to practise when trying to catch a mouse so I swapped to golf. I pulled the net back, took a swipe, pushed the mouse into the kitchen along with Dexter, who got a gentle nudge with my foot and quickly shut the door. I soon realised that maybe the kitchen wasn’t the best place to leave a cat and mouse so went back in to find Dexter trying to get into the 1 inch gap under the fridge. Finally, Brian got home from work and with my trusty fishing net we pulled the fridge out caught the mouse and released it outside. Crisis averted! Don’t worry I took pictures for you as the drama was unfolding 📸

Did anyone get a chance to make any slime? I’ll add a picture of James with his. Well done James!

Well I hope none of you have any sunburn or mice in your kitchen but feel free to forward any funny stories via email. Also please don’t forget about Accelerated Reading and Mathletics!
